It is a great price for a basic 27 inch LCD monitor. I bought this Planar and an HP 2711x LED monitor (on sale for $279) a couple of weeks ago. I put them side by side and tested them doing my normal stuff like gaming, watching movies, playing HD content and the comparisons weren't even close, now granted the HP is LED but I quickly took the Planar back. It also depends on what you use it for.
Most people complain about the glare on the HP because it has the glossy screen but it brings out the contrast and blacks so much that it made everything on the Planar look gray.

Got it.... I applied for the credit, got approved for $8,000 - funny thing, i used my wifes info with my driver license #... shows you they dont check LOL !!

Anyhow, great deal! paid tax but whatever!
