This seems like a dumb question, but the product description is so bad, I can't tell. I know it's not a Blu-Ray writer, but does it write to DVDs and CDs, or is the whole device read only?

Read only--the main clue to look for is in the title--it says DVD-ROM and CD-ROM. If it were a burner it would say DVD-RW up there.
Still, this is an AWESOME deal on a blu-ray reader, assuming the rebate is reliable. Might pick one of these up for blu-ray ripping--though I wonder how it would perform in that capacity. |
