I just got an email from Chase offering $200 free when opening account. NO direct deposit needed!

There is a unique coupon code so it appears to be targeted.

For those that didn't get the e-mail, it looks like people have been having good luck with a "trial and error" method of guessing coupon code

Go to Chase.com/checking
Then hit “Open Now” under Chase total Checking
Under “What would you like to do?”, Pick “I would like to start a new application.”
Enter in Coupon Code

Guess to XXXX numbers from the following:
Expires 5/19/2012:

444942636619XXXX
444942619391XXXX

New $200 for new checking til May 19th:

444942613103XXXX

New $200 for new checking June 14th:

447906967744XXXX
447906986350XXXX

details for the approach are here: http://www.hustlermoneyblog.com/2...p-2242012/

yes you have to live where they do business.

Do you thumb down every microcenter/frys/etc deal when there isn't one by you?

I was able to guess a code yesterday...took me about 8 tries..

Any tips on how to get the direct deposit set up with no current job...?? worst case scenario I'll fund it with 1500 and leave it at that but i'd rather not...

any help would be appreciated...

no, but banking is global in 2012, and where you are is irrelevant. money is transferred electronically. whether or not i could drive to a location of theres within a specified time-frame is even more irrelevant.

they aren't going to hand out the $200 in cashwave

Is there a way the orginal post can be edited to say you have to live in a certain zip code? Also a random thought, why does Chase on their home page say you can change your zip code later??? Whats up with that? " DownSouthTyler View Post :

makes the deal worthless and impossible. thumbs down" I agree with you, the post should say only certain zip codes!!

as far as this quote from arich57 " Do you thumb down every microcenter/frys/etc deal when there isn't one by you? " Yes I would also Arich57, what a waste of time to try to get it and then find out only certain zip codes can get it...also explain to me why Chase says you can change zip code later..makes me think I should get it..as far as Im concerned thumbs down to Chase!!

I just opened one up and the code worked after about 10 tries or so.

So does this checking account have any kind of point system for spending to earn rewards, similar to PNC? The reason I ask is because I don't see it anywhere on the site. Thanks
