its the best i have ever used on a NAS... note that i only have used 2-bay budget NAS from dlink and synology

How is the processor for unzipping the files? Can I have a folder for all downloaded torrent files? And then a folder for the unzipped (automatically) torrent files?

Example. I tell it to download a "movie". It downloads the torrent movie to "ROOT\Torrents\Torrent Name\" I then want it to automatically unzip the downloaded torrent into another folder "ROOT\Unzipped Torrents". This way, I can quickly cut it out from there and paste it into the correct directory "Root\Movies\Movie Name".

Sorry to ask to many questions.

regarding the "preserve data" part i believe you will have to transfer the files someplace else before transferring back to the nas. when i set mine up, i was give the option to set up SHR (synology's hybrid raid) or your typical raid 0, 1, etc and drives must be formatted. i could be wrong though, but i didn't see an option to preserve any current data on my drives. more information can be found here on page 27 http://ukdl.synology.com/download...er_enu.pdf
