Does this work with wifi and google voice? Does any cell phone work with google voice through wifi without using minutes? That's the phone I'm looking for.

No I don't think it can. When I try it just forwards me back to the phones dialer and charges me for the call. I have read it can be used with a SIP account with a certain Preware app, but I never looked into that.

It was always $54.99 on Newegg without a code. Now they have added a code and showingup this as a deal ..lol

Will this work with ATT 3G?

Good OS but bad hardware on these phones. Also note that HP is no longer supporting WebOS though I think they area going to release as open source. That means no more official OS updates and probably a very small app store if any.

Never had the pixi but owned the first generation of the pre. WebOS was amazing and elegant and I miss many features. It was a true multi-tasking OS which at the time really wasn't possible on the iphone or the droid.

Unfortunately the hardware wasn't very good and in combination with poor marketing (very creepy ads!) made these phones flop hard. These phones were Palm's futile hail marry pass. Shortly after HP bought the company and the rest is history so to speak.

If this is indeed an AT&T phone, you will not get 3G speeds on T-Mobile.

After transferring to T-Mobile, I discovered T-Mobile uses different frequencies than AT&T, so the best you will get is a T-Mobile 2G (Edge on AT&T) connection.

Since I was planning to use an unlocked AT&T phone, immediately I cancelled my T-Mobile account and switched back to AT&T.

can any one tell me how to use this on at&t with out data? I remeber about a sim card trick or something? i want to give this to my son..I Have an iPhone 4s if it helps..

also looking to know. I know that if it is factory unlock, most likely you will be able to use it without the data plan from ATT, but I'm not entirely sure. I have the dell streak that is factory unlock and do not need a ATT data plan.

First you have to bypass activation.
Boot the phone into recovery mode and I think I did this by 1. turn off the phone; 2. remove and then reinsert the battery. 3. hold the down the volume up button while 4. connect the phone to your pc via usb cable 5. release the up button when the USB symbol appears.

Download this program here http://cdn.downloads.palm.com/sdk...cetool.jar and run it.

At that point you should be able to setup wifi.

Then you could install preware
first enable developer mode by typing upupdowndownleftrightleftrighbastart and clicking it on.
then plug your pixi+ back into your pc and put it in just charge mode.
download webOS Quick Install [dropbox.com] and run it. Click the little world icon and search for preware. install it.
Open Preware and get First Use App. Run First Use App to set up a Palm account via Wifi.
