At least they pretend concealed carry is legal in CA...here in IL is it NOT, which makes this gun nearly useless for me, at least until they make Chicago a separate state allowing us who are downstate to be free and defend ourselves.

I think I'll go with a 9mm for a nightstand pistol though...until then my S&W M&P 15-22 will have to suffice for a bedroom-closet weapon.

To all the people complaining about recoil and slide bite. Stop holding it like its a Glock or a 1911. If you do hold it full fisted it will be uncomfortable and the trigger pull will feel off.

Pull the trigger with the tip of finger and hold it like the smaller gun it is.
Shoots great if you treat it like the size and pull it is.

Not a hot deal. It has been at this price for over a year.

I got the email too. My cousin bought an LCP from Bud's retail store (no need for an FFL for me, I'll go right to their warehouse here in Lexington ) a couple months ago. I got the chance to shoot it a couple weeks ago and I didn't mind the trigger pull at all. Sure, it wasn't fun to shoot, but as others said, that isn't the point of this gun. But then again, my S&W Model 36 .38 Special isn't exactly all that fun to shoot either.

Bought the Bodyguard 6 months ago. I found the trigger to be nice. It has a smooth, steady pull, so it's easy to start to pull it and know just about when it will fire. At the range, I start to pull it and stop just before it will fire. Then, I go the rest of the way and it fires. The LCP my friend has has a jerkier pull, and is not easy to predict when it will fire or control it like mine. The one thing I will say about LCP is that with Crimson Trace, laser is easier. On LCP, when you grip the gun, middle finger activates laser. On BG, you reach with index finger to turn on or off; not as good. As for me, I try not to count on a laser, and feel the gun itself shoots smoother and is built better than LCP.

As a noob to the gun world, what issue is there about "Bud's"?

Also, is this the same gun? [jetguns.com] If so, seems that dealers pay sharp attention to one another to adjust prices this competitively this quickly, assuming the OP represents the state of prices at time of posting.

Really? Do you understand the reasoning behind a long trigger pull on a gun with no safety? For conceal carry, it's nice to have a long trigger pull. That way you must be pulling the trigger decisively in order for it to discharge. That's one of the reasons the Sigmas are slammed so much. Heavy long trigger similar to a revolver in double-action mode. It's a design feature.

I bought 2 guns from Bud's - a Colt Defender .45 and a Kahr P40. Each arrived quickly and was the best deal I could find - cheaper than Gunbroker. I felt Bud's is a great dealer. The only pain is that I have to have gun shipped to someone else (with FFL), so it's a 2-trip deal, and it's not as easy as just going to gun show and taking it home the same afternoon (I have CCW).

I think this is an OK deal, but the LC9 can be had for the same price elsewhere online...and about a month ago the LC9LM was only $350 shipped...

I bought a Springfield XD from Bud's to give to my sister as a gift not too long ago. I had no issues dealing with them. I got a great deal and the gun arrived quickly. I found a local guy (I live in Ohio) with an FFL and had him added to Bud's list.. Everything was as simple as could be.

This is just an OK deal as most places with lower prices are out of stock.

I got lucky about a month or so ago and was able to get in on the deal for the LCP with the LaserMax Laser included for $299 shipped from GunBuyer.com. (Just search the forum for LCP and it should be the second on the list which aslo includes the same price for the LC9)

I've got my LCP in my back pocket right now (as always), and no, it's not a range gun or a target practice gun, but it will do the trick when it needs to. Hopefully I'll never have to shoot anybody, but I'm confident in the LCP enough to know I'll have a close shot if necessary.

I had to get a full wallet holster, though, because the half holsters leave the exposed butt of the gun to where it wears my pants pocket out!
