FOSCAM FI8910W - $93 shipped direct from Foscam this weekend!

Was just going to post this. I ordered one and used the 10$ off $100 Google checkout link, bringing your grand total to $83.46 shipped and no tax for me in WA. Just ordered one even though the total was under 100$ and the Google checkout discount still worked. A bit higher than the last deal, but you only need to buy one, not three.

I just got an email from Foscam.us E-Mail subscription and I wanted to share it with SD community.

The email states that if you enter the coupon code "MOTHERSDAY" and it give you 15% discount.

I am not sure if this is a slick deal.

This would be pretty cool to have wish it had zoom.

We have something similar we use as a baby monitor.

So other than the fancy looking case I'm not sure if this is a big enough upgrade to justify the price increase over the previous model.

I needed a baby monitor and actually wanted 1 of these little cameras for a while now so for the price of a tank of gas, why not.

The previous model has audio that doesn't work, making it pretty useless as a baby monitor if that's your goal. It also doesn't have the IR filter so daylight images look pink and purple, it's really weird.

I own both and I have to say this is a huge difference in quality. I get much better framerates on this one as well.

Have been debating about buying these kind of cameras for a long time, but I have no idea which ones are good. Hope some experts here can shed some light on couple of my questions.

1. How easy is this thing to set up?
2. Can you rotate the lens/zoom etc remotely (web or smart phone)?
3. Does it have 2-way audio?
4. I have been keeping an eye on this one [dropcam.com]. How does this one compare to Foscam (except lower price on Foscam). Dropcam looks very easy to install and set up.
5. How does one record images from this camera? Is it easy?
