Not bad. But this is just a standard 20% off deal.
I think the Shun Premier 8" chef knife, with the 20% off code, is a much better value : http://www.amazon.com/Shun-Premie...258&sr=1-1 And the sashimi knife is only for right handers. Actually, if I was right handed, I would totally buy it. Last edited by galewskj; 05-03-2012 at 09:28 PM.. |

The Shun Premier is indeed a good deal for an everyday knife, I would have snagged it too if I hadn't already used up my coupon. However, the Shun Pro Yanagiba Knife is a very good deal for a knife specifically for slicing sashimi only.
Also, the Shun Pro is made from a one solid piece steel, while the Premier has a core cladded with 2 other pieces of steel for the hammered look. Last edited by baronong; 05-03-2012 at 09:29 PM.. |

I use this knife to make late night Sashimi snack bites. It's never too late to have sashimi. =/

Damn my strange hands, right handed but I use knives with my left hand for some reason.
If I tried using it with my right hand I'd probably cut myself... |
