Testing this router right now.. comparing to wndr3700. The wireless signal is not as strong on the 2.4ghz band... found best signal was to set radio at G only. Sitting 2ft from the router the 300 speed flipped back and forth between 150. USB port requires a separate utility program running to use, and can only be used by one computer at a time. Even with a weak signal, 3-4 bars, I was able to get a ping of 20-30 and a speed of 9.50 on my 10 line. This is exactly the same as I get on the wndr with full signal. The D-Link has a LOT more options for setting up and is much better suited for incoming connections than the wndr. Parental controls have been discontinued on the D-link, and the ones wndr uses through OpenDNS are the best I have ever seen. I will have to spend some more time with the D-Link to see how it operates on a daily basis, and after I connect my other 16 devices.
Picked it up from staples for $21.79. $79.99 + tax, - $10 mail in rebate, - $25 standard coupon, - $25 gift card staples gave me for shipping me plain Garmin 40 instead of the LM version by mistake over the holidays. Certainly not a matchable deal, but figured I would add it in there. |

not worth this price at all to be honest.
had this router for years, worked DECENT, but nothing special. buy an e3000 instead |

Get something newer. This guy is OLD. It's rock solid, yeah, but REALLY old tech.
