 I no longer have to be a fairy!  Daughter found out that I'm the tooth fairy. She's finishing up 5th grade, so it's probably just as well. Our puppy lost a tooth the other day, and our daughter put it under her pillow (yes, our tooth fairy apparently even collects dog teeth). I forgot to take it and leave a dog treat one night. The next night, I almost forgot again...I woke up around 4:00 am to put the treat under the pillow and take the tooth. My wife asked me where I was going, and I said something like simply "tooth fairy!"...daughter had climbed into bed next to my wife and heard this. She had been suspicious for a while, but I think she still wanted to believe. Pretty sure Santa's next...she was suspicious about him as well for the last couple of Christmases. |

Mine spent the last few tooth fairy nights clutching the bag with the tooth. I had a few nights I would have to go back three or four times to get the thing out of her grip

Fortunately ours never did that, plus she's a pretty deep sleeper. I usually could make the switch right before we went to bed. She asked where all of her old teeth are. I had kept most of them for a while, but wife threw them out when we moved last summer. |
