Yup. They were going for $49.99 as part of Amazon's Lightning Deals and $99.99 on Staples. Same process, same drill. After a PM, some people got the mouse for $25+ tax.


But a bunch of people who waited past early morning to price match ran into problems. Staples chat reps started declining requests for PMs when their corporate office instructed them not to offer it

Morals of the story:

1. Don't wait to PM!

2. There are always deals on the MX Performance. You just have to watch the Amazon prices from time to time and keep your SD alerts active. I've seen the MX Performance drop in price at least 3 times within the past few weeks. This is one of the better prices.


EDIT: Whoa, shipped already. Estimated delivery is this Monday. That's pretty fast.

Arizona here. Staples charged me $82.34 after coupon and taxes. Called in and told them it's currently 63.40 on Amazon, and the representative refunded me $40 something, adjusting for taxes there as well.

Same here. No problems calling. CSR even mentioned that she heard about the deal and it was approved already.

Just got me $53 credit from staples for the last deal.... happy! I bought a k800 illuminated keyboard to go with this from the neweggbusiness 15% off deal. Loving it so far.

I just called 800-378-2753 number. Spoke to the rep who asked about the coupon on the order. I told her it was a Staples Rewards coupon. She didn't ask any further questions. Looked up Amazon.com for the price and matched it! $39.xx going back on my card including taxes.YAY!!! Thanks for the heads up OP.

If I have more of a claw grip style (not extremely claw grip, but the joints of my finger are more in the air than resting on the top of the mouse), should I get the this mouse? I'm currently using the m310 mouse and the size of it seems to fit my hand pretty well. Does that mean the performance mx will be too big for my hand?
