Epiphany about "trolling" enforcement

Look at it this way... you have 30 chances to figure out a way to post w/o drawing the ire of the mods. That seems like a lot to me, and it stretches over a long period of time.

Wah. I have deleted many posts that contain the word 'bigot' when directed at other users, and people have been warned for that as well. I'll get around to dealing with the one in this thread eventually.

As for deflation... omg deflation omg. I hate when my dollars are able to buy me more stuff. But, that's a topic for a political thread.

Unfortunately deflation usually doesn't work that way when there's high unemployment because everybody waiting for better bargains later sends the economy into a nosedive, which is what happened during the Great Depression. Slight deflation or inflation is OK, but Ron Paul gold fever would be a disaster.

On the contrary, you're only temp banned after a very large number of warnings. Anyone who reaches that level should reconsider their participation in this community.

I've yet to see a member with that number of warnings that were all received from a specific mod; rules are rules and the serial offenders gather warnings from 2 or more of us.

Right, but I wasn't directing my "liberal idiot" comment to any individual, but referring to liberals in general.

Therefore, to be consistent, shouldn't posts that call conservatives bigots be deleted as "trolling," even if no one is called out by name?

Seemed like you were commenting on the various "idiots" in the thread who took issue with what Z said. But that's really beside the point. I look forward to your mod alerts when you see liberals trolling threads calling conservatives bigots, or idiots... etc.

Will do. I am more a live and let live type of person, so I tend to prefer not to do that, but if my posts are going to be deleted when liberals whine about them, I will do the same in reverse.

I think you misunderstand the way the Podium mod team works. We don't each arrive at our own definitions of violations, and a substantial part of the real process is posted publicly, right here in this forum.

Personally, I dont mind the mods, (except when they temp ban me around Christmas Time).

Some have more hostility towards me than others, some more sympathy.

I dont think getting all huffy about it is productive. Talking about mods and modding is usually frowned upon and not conducive to a good board. But that just goes to show you that they can be pretty easy going.....even if I am banned once or twice a month. LOL!

Wait, the racists on this board are getting warned and banned? That's.... awesome. Can we apply this system to real life too? The vast majority of us will be better off.

One has nothing to do with the other. I don't wish for more terrorist attacks, I wish for fewer. So do most other Muslims. Some people don't believe that because they think all Muslims are the same, just like some people think all blacks are the same, or all Mexicans are the same, or all Chinese are the same. Those people are typically called racists. I wish for fewer of them too. Terrorists and Racists, let's get rid of them all.
