I find the Ignore List very effective at removing them from my life. I don't use it to ignore those who I disagree with but there are a few here who are just nutjobs or who like to stir shit up for no reason whatsoever. Perhaps if everyone just ignored them they'd go away

Yes. Some people use the ignore feature as intended. It is not my cup of tea but I can see some would like it. Then there are those who pretend they have put X on ignore but then immediately make a phony and dastardly sig misquoting poster X.

Btw it is really amusing when Y claims they have X on ignore but then all of a sudden they slip and make one response out of nowhere (wink, wink). I am confident the majority of people who claim they have put X on ignore are simply fibbing.

I am gonna speak in some kinda support of the OP.

I am not supporting his claim that liberals MA more than cons. There is no evidence to support that. And while individual mods naturally have their own biases and politics, (1) it evens out across mods, and (2) the are professionals and they try to do as good of a job as they can.

I am not even gonna say that posts by the OP are not the most vicious racist posts on this board. The fact that mods let the OP continue to post is testimony to either that they are horrible mods or bend backward for extremists in order to let them continue to participate on this forum.

However, while the general comments by this poster are most vicious I do not recall ever to have seen the OP become vicious or even insulting with individual poster here.

For full disclosure, the OP claim he has put me on ignore. But he often reponds to my posts through others and often mentions me by name. He put me on ignore after our first encounter ever. He claimed many states apply their max income tax rate to the entire income and not marginally. I asked for just one state, knowing that is likely not possible. He gave me three: NJ, CA, and NY. I then brought quotes from their official web sites and showed him he was wrong. There was no insults involved. He promptly put me on ignore.

Since you haven't used the ignore feature, I will mention that you can still see the other person's posts if they have been quoted. For example, I am on forced ignore with charles but I still see his ramblings about gays because he gets quoted so often.

People aren't necessarily lying, they might have just seen what you wrote because it was quoted and since the ignore is their choice, they can choose to respond if they care to.

I know all of that.

I was not talking when Y has X on ignore. Then W responds to X and Y supposedly responds to W but in reality responds to X.

I was not talking about those cases.

I am talking about Y claiming to have X on ignore and then after several weeks of no replying all of a sudden responds to a post by X, not even to a necessarily egregious post. And then again no replying for several more weeks.

My opinion that most of them are fibbing is based on life experience and not on hard data.
