It'll play Diablo III without any problems. If I were you, I'd try to snag an A6 that had the dedicated GPU, though.

Diablo III I think will run no problems at medium to high settings. BF3 probably low. Looking at some YouTube videos of the A8-3500 and BF3 though it doesn't look that bad:

Please refer to Waam's link above. His average is 23FPS at medium settings with no overclocking. I'm sure with some overclocking you should be able to hit around the 30FPS range.

The A8 is now gone. The only one left is the i3 which although an OK deal isn't anything to write home about.

Yeah, I was hesitant to post this because of that reason but decided in the end that if I helped at least one person find a good deal then it'd be worth posting .

Decided to remove the i3 as after further thought it's not really a good enough deal. For an i5 it would be nice but for an i3 it's only average.

After reading the Support Page's specifications, it looks like this model supports DDR3.. Looks like I've got some new RAM to order. :S


Donnie: I noticed that while it says the DDR3 supplied with your Notebook is 1066MHZ, they actually gave you 1333 RAM. (Explains the CAS 9 rating)

Since it's 6GB, it's 2 SO-DIMMS; 1x 2GB and 1x 4GB.

Good to see that people are still excited to get the configuration A6 + 6650M. It has been a hot "budget" gaming configuration this entire year from ASUS, Acer, and HP(which had6750m). Too bad it's sold out but it was only a refurb Gateway which may have been the worst of the 4 companies as far as customization of bios etc.

There are other good alternative deals out there. So stay patient if you missed out on this.

I don't think that I've ever seen a 6GB stick.The laptop that I received had a 4GB and a 2GB stick.
