$200 is taxable income. You will get 1099 for this.

*Service Fee: Chase Total CheckingSM has no Monthly Service Fee when you do one of the following each statement period:
Option #1: Have monthly direct deposit totaling $500 or more made to this account; OR
Option #2: Keep the daily balance in your checking account at or above $1,500; OR
Option #3: Keep an average balance of $5,000 or more in your checking and other types of qualifying Chase accounts.

Otherwise a $12 Monthly Service Fee will apply ($10 monthly Service Fee in CA, OR and WA). For more information, please see a banker or visit Chase.com/Checking.

Seems ACH push can avoid monthly fee, But can not get the bonus
If you have an existing Chase Checking Account :-(
Offer not available to existing Chase checking customers, those with fiduciary accounts, those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or with a negative balance.

Got in on the no direct deposit required one by guessing the coupon number because I got tired of waiting for this one to pop back up. Anybody know if PayPal will count as direct deposit, or has that been stopped?

Why would you do the $5000 average balance instead of the daily $1500 balance?

I mean, what is the diffrence between average balance and daily balance?

Because the $5000 is mixed.
For example you could have $4000 in a savings account and only $1000 in checking.

This is my interpretation:
daily = every single day >= $1500
average = (balance each day in all qualifying Chase accounts) / 30 or 31 days >= $5000

Yeah, the average requirement is an average of $5,000 over the month split over all your Chase accounts. At least I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

I believe it's 6 month.

Also, apparently if you have a Chase checking and also have Chase Freedom credit card, you get 10% more cashback Smilie
