Sirius XM Current Promos 99c/1month & more

sirius xm is the most annoying company to deal with. i've subscribed to them twice in the past. the CSR are slow and it takes 10 phone calls and transfers to cancel your account. last time i tried to cancel the renew they didn't do it. i ended up getting calls from them every day until i got them to cancel and close my account. very annoying.

but i will say that i enjoy their radio service, just not the CS.

Where did you get this info? We have one car with xm and we are up to renew next month. Last time i had to threaten to cancel 4 or 5 times until they came down low enough for me to pull trigger. If your chart is accurate, I would renew again.

Boo. My 3 month free trial doesn't expire until July. By then I probably won't be able to get these rates. I do like XM better than the regular radio though. But for 15 dollars a month it's definitely not worth it!

If you don't mind being without for a few days just cancel. They will hound you with offers for 6 months for $25.

better deal....if you have a smart phone....and u can connect it to your car...use pandora or slacker.....the wifes has the usb hook up...we stream it and it sounds as good or better than XM ever did

+1 for this. Dumped XM, replaced my car stereo with a bluetooth model and stream slacker radio from my phone for free. Love it.

Oh, it's valid for existing customers. I haven't paid full price in many years. Believe me, they'd rather have you maintain at a lower rate than lose you as a customer. Just call up and tell them you want to cancel. They'll hook you up with the person who handles cancellations. It is their job to throw you offers to stay on before they cancel your subscription. And they usually will try to offer you one first that isn't the best they can do. Just hold out until they give you a decent one. Just be sure to mark your calendar with the ending date of your "special offer" because they will renew without telling you at regular rates. Then you call up to cancel again. Repeat endlessly.

I also use pandora on my phone. Be warned though, if your plan does not cover enough data your cell phone company can make the 5-15 bucks for XM/Sirius look like chump change with overage fees.


I keep the sirius radio around for a couple of talk shows I like. I rarely listen to their music. They don't really have a channel that clicks with me and if I wanted to listen to DJ's... well.. They are free on AM/FM/HD radio...

I'll never pay more than 5 bucks a month for sirius/xm.. If I can't keep getting that deal. I'll pull the plug on it.

I would be all over this, but sadly I live in the middle of nowhere and my commute takes me through lots of dead zones. So satellite is worth it for me But if you drive primarily in the city, this is a great option.

I stream from mine through the built-in Bluetooth. That's fine around town, but get more than 5 miles outside and there's no cell phone signal. That's where Sirius XM comes in handy.
