Digital Video Standards: MPEG-4, DivX, MPEG-2, MPEG-1, FLV, MOV, RM, VOB, RMVB, H.263, H.264, MKV, WMV9, (confirmed MP4's and MKVs work fine, avi's reported to work)
Text Formats Supported: FB2, EPUB, PDF, TXT, HTML, PDB (I loaded up a EPUB with some graphics that were internal to the book, all good)
Audio formats: MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, OGG (ran a MP3 audio, sounds good, I'm sure WAV would be great, and a OGG would sound nice)
Image formats: JPG, BMP, GIF (jpg's work fine, even animated GIFs work!)
NOTE: This has an LCD screen, not an e-ink screen. So the battery life and contrast will be significantly lower than e-ink-based e-readers like the Kindle (which costs much more).
Tip: HOLD SHUTDOWN + RETURN key (while charging), it will let you use the unit while usb is charging. When you want sync again, simply shutdown and turn on.

Quote : battery lasted me about 12hrs on and off reading didn't need to charge it for four days read 1 165page book but had to keep putting it down to do other things and left it with the screen saver disabled so i thought that was pretty good

I have the older version of this from about a year and a half ago (Big Lots for $50). Keeps the three-year old from getting antsy on long car trips / plane flights (as a last resort). Plays movies quite well, but you need to convert them to a specific resolution for it to play or it will deem it unreadable (don't know if that is true for this one).
