Urgent!! Crossfire configuation!!
So first let me explain what kind of gamer I am. I wait til the price of a game that looks interesting hits 5-15 dollars on steam when they have a weekend sale or whatever. I have a lot of games but don't play all the time. I just don't have the time but I enjoy them. Now here's my plan. I bought the Sapphire 2gb factory oc video card from newegg for 200 bucks and it arrives tomorrow. I plan on 1-3 years from now when they make a smaller form 9650 at a reduced price at around 50 dollars. Or just buy another one off amazon for 50-70 or whatever the price may be down the line. Now will this give me a significant performance increase? It's really just a supplement to get the frames I need. I don't need a higher resolution because I use my 1080p tv. I think it's a pretty good plan, what do you think? Crossfire support from what I hear has gotten way better, freakin finally. The frugal shopper is the survivor of a recession

Or are you just planning for the future? It's the "Urgent" in the title that leads me to believe you want to do crossfire now, or at least, as soon as you get the new card, is that correct? |

You do know that you would need a second identical card to set them up in a crossfire array, don't you, which is why nobody is understanding the urgency. Even if you plan on doing it eventually, there is nothing that needs to be done now. You simply install the new card and if or when you get a 2nd one, then you link the two together in Crossfire. |
