looking for bolt.
anybody know where i can find the heat sheild gas plate bolt for a pontiac vibe 2005? dealer wants $70 for the whole plate kit.i only need the bolt.this is what it looks like.http://i427.photobucket.com/album...ure021.jpg |

This is what junkyards are for! Call around - you should have no problems finding one, unless you happen to live in the middle of nowhere.
If you don't have any junkyards close by, also check ebay & craigslist. |

Home Depot and the likes sell bolts of many sizes. Try taking it into there and finding one of comparable size. They have plates you screw them into to find the size of the bolt, then find one that has the same length. . BTW, what do you need a new bolt for? That one looks just fine. Anyway, good luck!

Be careful of hardware store bolts - there may be a specific strength/torque spec on that bolt if it's holding something heavy/that moves a lot/ is important. If it's not, then yeah, just go to the hardware store.

thanks for the help.i checked 3 junk yards between 70 miles(to work) nobody had the vibe lol.i checked pick n pull online inventory and they have the car but it's 2 hours and 30 mins away heh.i need that plastic little thing that is attached to the bolt.without it,it makes a weird annoying rattle noise.

 Try just buying some JB Weld and gluing the guy together if you only need to stop the rattling.
