Crappy RAM, but a good price I suppose. Don't count on getting anything more than the rated speed out of these. 1.65V is typically considered the absolute max on Sandy/Ivy Bridge.
I have degrees in both animal behaviorism and psychology and have come to the conclusion that animals make a hell of a lot more sense than people.

Why is RAM getting so expensive? I remember getting the exact same 8GB (2 x 4GB) a few months back for $22.99 AR.
As for the RAM, the default setting is 1333 @ 1.5V. I forgot to up my voltage so I was running 1600 @ 1.5V. However, the correct setting (which I adjusted my system to later) is 1600 @ 1.65V. If your motherboard supports XMP, then it will automatically change all the settings for you when you enable XMP. |
