Draw Something Loses 5M Users a Month After Zynga Purchase

I think it just took too damn long for them to put out the update everyone was waiting for. They sent out an email hyping it, and then it took over a month from there to actually deliver. I pretty much stopped playing because it used to crash my phone; the update probably helped, and I liked playing it, but I also hate how Zynga has to get their hands on any kind of game like this and flood it with ads and crap features.

That said, almost all of my friends have stopped playing as well. Most of my games are sitting in limbo as it is. So glad I bought the $0.99 paid app and a cheap stylus to play it..

There is an initial novelty appeal, but after a while, it's just a boring game....

Good on OMGPOP for selling it at the highest possible point. I think it just gets boring when there are so few words in the free version that I can often pick out a word just by the letters supplied at the bottom, before they even put a line on the page. That part sucks. They need to include far more words or improve their algorithms to mix it up. It's basically lost now.

This game got boring after a while... I'm sure it would be the same even if Zynga didn't buy them out.

I still haven't lost interest in the game, haha. I did lose interest in words with friends though.

If they got some new words it wouldn't be so bad. I can only draw "thong" so many times..

I think i quit after 2 weeks. Most of my friends did as well. Game was buggy

Nope, took a different road tonight.

Now that I think about it, the ads seem more intrusive since zynga bought them. I don't ever remember there being video ads..

I have gotten better by playing against my dad. He skipped a couple grades growing up, English major in college, many jobs as a college textbook editor....yeah, he knows some words
