Dead: Toshiba 55L6200U 55-Inches 1080P/120HZ 3DP Smart TV for $984 Amazon FS

would anyone like to share their picture settings? Unfortunately I dont have one of those calibration dvds

I still haven't gotten my TV yet. Should I go for a different deal, like the LG 55'' 6700 one for about $100 more?

I guess that's depend on your use. If you are more apps and internet oriented, then definitely go with the LG since Toshiba is probably one of the worst, if not worst "smart" tv out there in term of those two functions. 3d is a toss up but several reports from this thread say they prefer 3d on toshiba over lg. From the amazon post, it also seemed that LG are prone to more flash lighting than the Toshiba. But again both of these are toss up that could go either way. If they both selling for the same price, no doubt I go with the LG. If it's still $984 for Toshiba vs. $1100 or $1200 including tax for LG, the decision would have to lie solely on your use of the tv.

I got my TV for a couple weeks now. I noticed that it takes a very long time (about 30 sec) to turn on and to switch channels. Is that normal? My old Panasonic plasma is usually within 5 sec. I want to make sure it's not defected before the 30 days replacement time period. Thanks for any input.

Mine also take close to 30 seconds to turn on but switching channels is not taking that long.

Well. Switching channels is not as bad (5-10 sec), but it still takes longer than most other TV. Just making sure that's the way it is. Thanks.

I think 30 is a bit on the exaggerated side unless you actually take out a stop watch and time it (then it'll be no arguement from me). I would say 15 seconds is probably how long for it to get to the channel after turning it on (toshiba page---actual channel). Turning from channel to channel would definitely be less than 5 seconds for me. You have updated all the latest firmware correct?

It is actually 23 seconds to turn on.
