As far as noise cancelling goes, does anyone now how the AH-NC800 compares to Bose's QC15s?
The QC15 is cheaply built with terrible sound quality, but I have yet to find anything remotely comparable when it comes to noise cancellation. |

I've been eyein' the 5000 just about every time they come up for one of these sales. Great looking headphones, same with the 7000

http://noisecancellati The NC800 is a little worse at noise cancelling, but much better sound. Also, don't use that many color tags, it's just annoying and made me not want to answer your questions. |

I own a pair of Denon headphones (AH-D950), that are almost 20 years old, and still going strong! Their headphones rock!

So the Denon AH-D1100 are also on sale for $99.91 (original price of $199.00), and for someone like me (on a budget) they are a lot more affordable...same code has to be used (EXPLODE)

so....I've been waiting for the ah-d2000's to drop to $200~ again and am getting impatient. Is $380 worth the extra money, and is that a good enough deal to jump on?

ah-d5000s are priced at $400 on amazon with prime which makes the ah-d5000 deal ehhh
but the ah-nc800s are priced well |

I have the D2000s and they're pretty awesome running through an amp/dac, though they don't need to. The D5000 are essentially the same thing as D2000s but with wooden cups and the cord is slightly better. People say the bass on the D5000 is a tiny bit refined than the D2000. The drivers are the same for the D2000/D5000. Too bad they don't have the D7000 at that price or it might be worth it as it uses different drivers and the cord is a lot better. The higher the price of equipment, the less the difference in sound return. If you're willing to invest to great phones, also invest in great AMP/DACs and to truly enjoy your music, you should always listen to lossless.
