Just an FYI to anyone hoping to use this with a higher end graphics card. It only has ONE 6pin PCI-E connector... not two -.-
BUT apparently you can just use a Molex to 6pin adapter to make everything happy again. LINK [ebay.com]
Also, people's energy supply use is waaaay under what companies "recommend". So 400 to 450 is actually usually plenty of power for even a high end system.

This is the right price and came a great time for me, but I'm getting mixed ideas on if its going to be enough to run my upcoming cheapo gaming computer. The newegg psu calculator is telling me to go bigger, while others are telling me 430w is plenty. If anyone has some insight for me I would gladly take the advice.

this power supply is plenty for your build. 28 amps on the 12v rail for that cpu/gpu combo is great/ I bought this PSU a couple months ago for the same price and its a great bang for the buck. Its running a Q6600 @ 3.4ghz 4gb ram 1tb hd 3tb hd Geforce G210 doesnt break a sweat Last edited by SaintSlick; 05-07-2012 at 06:26 PM.. |

I got this PSU a while back for the same price. It emits a super shrill and annoying noise. I wouldn't buy it again.
