for a desktop i think i would rather get 2 of the 256GB ones in RAID-0... garbage collection on the M4's are very good so you dont need TRIM and the reliability is also very good... in return you get 1000+MB/sec
I think when you own a MacBook Pro, then a price for SSD is justified. Some people say that switching to SSD is almost like buying a new computer, so investing $500 is better than buying a new MBP for $2000 and up
I have a late 2008 MBP unibody, so it's getting kinda old, so do ya'll think switching to SSD will vastly improve user experience? I dont do any heavy graphics or gaming, just the usual burning/ripping stuff and massive downloads of things here and there. TIA
