5.1 theater setup

I suggest setting price alerts at camel camel camel . com for the items mentioned above. the bic can get as low as 160ish NEW, if I remember correctly.

any of these forums can give you excellent advice on a 5.1 setup.
my biggest suggestion is that you should spend LESS on speakers than the subwoofer if you want a good 5.1 setup.
I currently have:
Denon AVR1911
Jamo S606HCS3

upstairs (wife will not let me put up a sub lol)


downstairs:
polk monitor 50c II (160 for the pair)
ONK TXSR605 (5 years old this year crazy!) (350)
polk fronts and center channel ($90 each or so)
svs sound sb-12 (600)


I know those are out of your price range but i wanted to show you the recommendation of more on subwoofer than rest of speakers together. when you can afford the svs they are dreamy. i long for one on my denon
