47" VIZIO Edge Lit Razor Slim LED - M470SV - LED-backlit LCD 1080(240) WiFi TV - ~$540.00 YMMV WAL-MART

Just got back from wal-mart, (Houston, TX) and noticed they were totally re-doing their TV wall, and thus putting old displays out for sale.

so apparently they do 30 percen discount @ my walmart, hopefully yours is similar, I asked the guy about a small cosmetic scratch on the bezel (screen is perfect no dead pixels etc.) and he offered and additional 5%

then at the counter he added a "little more love" @ the register, after we joked around a bit etc (this i suppose is not part of the deal per se)

my total came out to 476+ tax, or 515.27

The manager had to come override, but they game no hassle at all.

I asked if they were putting displays out at other stores and the asst mgr told me that they all do this at around the same time, they probably had about 20 of them all out on tables, some still attached to the wall, so good luck folks! Hope other stores are feeling as generous!

i thought i mentioned these were all displays, and I was told it was a seasonal thing, and that ,any of their stores are shipped items at similar times. Both stores i've been to in houston, as well as both of our local best buy stores seem to have a ton more open box/display items than usual...

Just figured I'd share, even if for folks within the area, but hopefully it's something that's (at least somewhat) nationwide

Technically, the "extra discount" i got at the register was totally at the discretion of the employee, so as it's not universally applicable, I figured I would try to put a price that would be common policy (30% discount on floor models seems to be protocol at walmart)

thanks for the co-sign on that, glad to hear other stores are doing it as well.
sounds like a great deal on that 55" mind if i asked how it broke down?
this is only a 47" but the ultra thin and wifi are pretty cool additions...not sure how i feel about 240 refresh...itll take some getting used to, but looks somewhere a hybrid of a 120, and a camcorder, and a 3d set....really clear..almost too clear!

It is hard to get used to the picture because it is so much better than what I had before. This TV did not have 3D.
