ridiculous to pay this much for a computer unless you sneeze money. You can replace the internals of a desktop for a fraction of this price and continue to refresh the innards on 24 month upgrade cycles for a long time.

Sadly this laptop is much cheaper than my first non-commodore computer: A lighting fast Hyundai 286 with a whopping 20mb hd and 5.25" floppy, with discrete EGA graphics for a mere $2500, and additional $300 for a dot-matrix printer and $150 for 2400 baud modem to go on the local BBS.
