Seagate bought out Samsung and their drives now carry a one year warranty.
Plus the recent flooding, looks like drive quality going way down. <--- Recent??? Its been over 6 months now. SAMSUNG does not have a hard disk drive factory in Thailand

Read the more recent reviews of the drive and many bad reviews.
You mean like how this has a 4 out of 5 egg rating (included reviews from pre-Seagate and pre-flood)? <--- someone forgot to read the recent bad reviews.....
You mean like how 76% of reviews in last 6 months (post flood) are 4 egg or higher? <--- For reviews right after flood, probably reviews for still the old stock. Need to read last couple months reviews and pay attention to when they bought the drive and how long they own the drive. Newer drive has "Barracuda Green on it.
As stated above, these aren't the same as the original Samsung F4's
People are even reporting that these are labeled as Seagate drives.

Very good price for a 2TB drive, I believe the lowest without staples PM and coupon has been 110 recently on 2TB drives.

And if your worried about performance, I'd suggest you go with a small SSD as a boot disk, and then something like this for data. |
