Refurbished 250GB XBOX 360 Just Arrived

Hey guys. I've just made an account. Been using SD for at least a year. Took advantage of the 250GB 360 Best Buy had a few days ago. Arrived today.

A few things:
- Should I get a Squaretrade warranty?
- Anybody know of a good deal on a battery pack/recharge kit?
-I need to get XBL. Can I purchase directly from Microsoft (bad deal?) or should wait for a good buy-it-now deal on eBay?

-Don't have any games right now. Plan to use it for Netflix right now and possibly Hulu Plus, but I know I need XBL first.

Don't purchase from Microsoft for XBL. Even current price at retailers like Amazon should be lower than Microsoft's MSRP XBL price. If you wait for a deal, it can go to around $30-40 for 12 month gold.

I also remember reading a post that said free Gold for a month in May, you can use the search function to look it up!

Refurb, so I am. Might want to wait a few days before it dies, cause you will just send it back.
Although, I think you can get a prorated refund from squaretrade.

I have this one [amazon.com]and love it.
It is nice because it also is a good place to store controllers.

You don't need a paid Xbox live account to do Hulu or Netflix. Big misconception.

Every new Xbox account gets 1 month for free when you first create your gamer tag.

Never just buy it through the console, it is 100% with out a doubt always the most expensive option. MS does give free weekends and $1 months through your email from time to time.

If you don't have any games and see this promotion and you are interested in Kinect, it might be an option than waiting for those $35 deals again

You can get a ps3 which doesn't require a paid subscription. As we all know they can be had for under $200.
Most bd players and new tv's also stream for free. I would say M$ is stupid for doing this, but they are obviously very smart.
