I also just got the $50 Visa. It's now June 21st which means this card went out Way After they knew about the issue.
They sent me no email about this mistake what-so-ever. If they knew about this issue before, then why is this "Mistake" still happening? You call it a mistake if you want, it doesn't seem that way to me. I'll have to shoot my brother-in-law an email, I'm sure they probably shorted him as well. This type of thing is why I am leery of doing rebates. Most of them are ok but I have been ripped off more than once with no real legal protection. There should be laws in place to protect consumers as this is the same thing as getting a loan and never paying it back. Last edited by graphixv; 06-21-2012 at 03:36 PM.. |

I also only received $50. My online rebate status reflected only the $50 with no other notification. The problem was corrected when I called, but it certainly seems a little suspicious - did they want to see if we were paying attention?

Got my 2nd $50 rebate card about 2 weeks after my 1st one arrived. I'm a happy customer as far as Discount Tire and their rebate systems go.

Only got my 1st $50 rebate yesterday. Didnt notice until I tried to activate it today - HOW DO I GET MY OTHER $50??? This is complete crap. I needed that money to get my tires mounted balanced on the new HFP rims I bought for my civic SI.

These damn rebate games that they play. I received mine last week and didn't think to check it. Opened it today and it was only for $50. I guess I have to call to remind them their job. What BS.

I called 2 weeks back (around 6/14) and they told me that the computer will send out the remaining $50 rebate automatically without checking my account. However, that doesn't seem to be the case. I just called today (6/28) and they quickly asked for the phone number and confirmed they _will_ send out the rebate.
So it seems a call to the rebate center 866-892-8078 is needed to get the 2nd half of the rebate. [edit] I just checked the rebate status, and now saw the extra $50 on the rebate status with "expedited" type.
