T-Mobile Samsung Exhibit II 4G Prepaid Android Phone $190 @ Amazon + $15 MP3 Credit

great phone, worth every penny,

i bought this phone last Christmas for same price, love it.

Just bought this last week from Amazon, love it so far. Much speedier than my Optimus T I had previously....

Is it unlocked phone?

Any flaws with phone? Any way around 10c per txt; Internet browsing free? Or does it take minutes help would be apprieciated.

Browsing will be free if you are on wifi. I have the TMobile $30 package (1500 mins, 30MB data) which is sufficient for email and light browsing, but not for heavy net usage.

You can get Unlimited Web & Text with 100 Minutes Talk for $30 if you activate online or at Walmart.

"New activations only. Available exclusively in-store at Walmart, on Walmart.com, and T-Mobile.com."

If you don't need a lot of voice they also offer 100 minutes per month with unlimited text and unlimited data ( first 5 GB at 4G speeds ) for $30 per month. If you go over that, it's 10 cents per minute, or you can use something like GrooveIP to use your data service for making voice calls without using voice minutes.

I've had this phone since November and am pretty happy with it. It's not perfect, but I don't think any of them are. I haven't seen anything else that competes for the price.

Man.. I have amazon credit that needs to be used... Any way amazon could allow me to do this? Otherwise I'll have to stick to good ol fashion prepaid cards w/ 1000 min.. No 4g no txt

I'd like some advice for my next Android phone to replace my Optimus V. Data speeds are terrible where I live and I need faster data speeds for work. I'm going with the T-mobile $30/month plan so I'll need either a T-mobile or unlocked phone. My budget is roughly $225. Originally I was only considering the Exhibit II 4G since it's $200 (now $190) new, but I wouldn't mind getting a better used phone for the same price in good condition. I'd like Gorilla glass, but it's not required as I can just use a screen protector. I'd also like to run ICS and have 4G but it's not a requirement either. Must have the following:

Android Phone
3.7" or larger screen
Camera Flash
Easily Rootable
Active Devs and ROM community
T-mobile (or unlocked)
NO physical keyboard
Under $225


So, what do you guys think? I've asked this question on XDA and AndroidCentral but no one replied.

I would look into the Vibrant. The Exhibit II is priced well but it's got quite a few bugs. The phone can be slow and unresponsive at times, it'll heat up for no reason and there's a issue where the phone won't stop vibrating due to a incoming e-mail. I could go on but those are the 3 biggest issues I've seen with the phone.

No one replied because you are setting your expectations too high.

You can get this device but ICS ROMs are in their infancy and some features do not work (amd probably will not work under ICS)
-Samsung Nexus S (used) has a strong XDA presence with fully functioning ICS ROMs
