You just don't get it do you! The Nexus is twice better than this phone. Exhibit is not worth getting. Get the Nexus and you won't regret it. If u got $200 only...wait another 6 months for another $200...rather than get the exhibit because in 6 months you will want a better phone anyways.

I said it will last you at least 1 year if not 2...this means it should last you much longer but most people like to get a new phone every 2 years...not every 6 months, which is what the Exhibit will do to you.

I know what you're saying, but money doesn't grow on trees, plus $400 is a ton of money for just a phone. Not everyone is hemorrhaging money like you are.

$400 isn't that much to pay up front when you consider a post-paid account will cost you ~$1000 more in the long run. Look I had this exact phone for 2 weeks and decide to get a GNexus and I don't regret it.

Obviously someone who's thinking about buying a cell phone means they got enough money to pay for a plan, which means if they save a few months, they can afford the better phone considering the better phone will also go down in price. It doesn't take tree growing.

It's $30/month for T-mobile's plan. Most people will likely be looking at that plan, so they probably don't have $400 to spend on a phone. I do, but there's no way I'm spending that kind of cash on a phone. It boggles my mind how people have no problem dropping $4-500 on a PHONE. Jeez, it's no wonder everyone is broke and has tons of debt, they all have crappy priorities.

What boggles my Mind is people are willing to spend $80-90 a month on a two year contract for something like an iphone + pay $200 up front....Lets do some math:

80 * 24 = 1920 + 200 = 2120 over 2 years (Iphone and other contract androids)

30 * 24 = 720 + 400 = 1120 over 2 years (Unlocked GSM GNexus phone)

Yeap...you save ~1000 over 2 years...and you have a great phone.

So if you get exhibit you save an extra ~200...that's cool if you can live with a cr*ppy phone.
My guess is a year from now...all those who got exhibit ii will want another phone while all GNexus people are still happy.

To be fair, the Exhibit 2 is fine for calls, txting, web and most games. Two years from now, its will still be fine for all of that, minus the games part probably. Basically anything the average consumer wants to use it for. While the Galaxy Nexus is a great phone and has far superior specs, its not really that practical to anyone besides power users. Yes, you can run more visually pleasing launchers, have more programs running in its memory, and play 1080p videos on it, but not everyone needs that.

Yes, when you amortize over 2 years it's a drop in the bucket. But you keep glossing over the fact that you expect people to spend $400 like it's chump change right now. I'd love love LOVE a Nexus, but I don't have $400 to spend on a phone right now. I agree that it's mind boggling that people will pay $80/month PLUS $200+ for a phone and be locked into a 2-year contract.

More than Double the price but Nexus battery life is reduced by 2x LOL.
People love to jump on this phone just because it's endorsed by google app programmers.

It's a shame that their "pure" google OS phone battery only lasts a little more than 24 hr. So the pure OS is actually consuming more battery? LOL.

Also there is no option to get insurance from T-mobile on prepaid plans so some people dont want to buy $400+ phones !!

i have 60$ tmo gift card that has been sitting on my pc desk for 8 months. tmobile.com won't accept it for online orders and nor it works to pay bill. I think it only works at tmo stores to buy their over priced stuffs.
I don't go to tmobile stores.

Excellent Phone - switched to it a few months ago. Pretty decent battery life for an Android too. Jump on this one!
