no offense but you clearly haven't used the official charger before then. yours is kicking out 5V 500mA and the official charger gives out 9v 1.67A. I'm no electrician but I would say that's more. A lot more. I used one similar to yours and it blew. Hard. So he really didn't save $2 he saved 1/2 or 2/3 charging time and gained the ability to actually charge it and use it at the same time instead of trying to maintain it while using it.

Are you using custom roms? With custom roms the Flyer is pretty quick. Without custom roms the streaming video on WebOs sucked the skin off, it was horrible.
