I think you mis-read the post from vtc268....He said: is this true? If so, then "What a great deal!" He was commenting on how great the deal is....Not what is the big deal.....

It was April 30 that it was last at $24.99, and is from the same developer of the Audubon Birds app...it appears to be a combination of the apps "Audubon Birds" and "Audubon Butterflies"

Since it appears to be a combination of the apps "Audubon Birds" and "Audubon Butterflies", I wonder if it has all the information in both of those in this app. Or does this app lack information (like only half the birds, etc.). Would be nice to know if buying the birds app and the butterfly app would have the same exact info contained in this one app, or if this is lacking.
GNC and Amazon third party price mistakes always cancel! Move on people.

Yeah that's what I was looking for confirmation on. According to the app description it contains 771 species of birds and 627 butterflies, which matches up with the numbers on the individual apps. I have not had the time nor available storage to test this app vs the Audubon Birds app, but from what I can see on the app store descriptions and the Audubon guides website [audubonguides.com], I believe it includes everything found in the individual apps. So, like a two-for-one.

Got it. Looks great. iBirds is also 99c and about 150 more birds but no butterflies and I trust Audubon more for accuracy/future updates.
