Should I add the rebate to the post? It would suck if they didn't honor the rebate for Amazon orders.

Okay I did a quick two minute run through google shopping and made a list of about SEVEN different reputable(aka lots of reviews) vendors that are all offering the same rebate, I could've swore I clicked "Post Quick Reply" but the post disappeared x_x.

Is it safe to add the $30 MIR to the dealpost? It'd suck if they didn't honor the rebate for Amazon purchases... But also kind of unbelievable, considering the circumstances....

The reasons why I think it's legit:
-Many stores are offering it
-There's no specific vendor on the rebate form.
-The rebate is processed directly through Asus.

Why I'm worried:
-Amazon isn't showing it.
-Does Asus have a list of vendors that are approved, but they're just not sharing that information?

Everyone should be eligible except Frys.com

Sometimes Amazon is just spotty with updating their rebate forms.

A dual link DVI connection is the only way to use 120hz(for this specific monitor). You could use this for 3D but I can't vouch for how bad/well it performs.

You don't need a 'special' GPU but you need to make sure your card supports DVI-D (dual link DVI) otherwise you won't be able to use 120hz feature (the only reason this monitor is anything special.)

Also, the benefits of true 120hz will be apparent in day to day tasks, not just gaming.

Oh, and for 3D to work, you must have an Nvidia video card. (Maybe someone figured out how to use it on AMD/ATI cards?)

Could someone help me out . . . Is there any easy way to determine if this or any monitor is "mountable"? I have an articulating wall-mount. I suspect that the description should say "VESA mounts" or something like that. Or would I have to check with the manufacturer. Much thanks for any assistance.

VESA Mounting : 100mm x 100mm

I have a Planar SA2311W but I dont have the 3d glass yet so I might jump on this to get the glass and resell the monitor. lowest price for the 3d glass I can find is around $100... BTW, anyone know how would this monitor compare to the Planar SA2311W?

This is one of two monitors I'd consider currently for my needs.

The other being BenQ XL2420TX; which, for twice the cost can do 3D via HDMI (for PS3)

Other than that, I'd go this monitor in a heart beat.

Yeah they jacked up the price to $359.99 like... three days ago I think? The original deal was a great price for this monitor. Best I've ever seen when bundled with the glasses/IR emitter.
