I got in on the FP deal last year at about this time, but I cheaped out and got the standard v3 (biggest loser). My only complaint is the standard edition is a pain in the ass- you have to plug into the computer to keep your data up to date.
If the SP had been this price last year (instead of $140 or whatever after coupon), I definitely would have jumped on it. Now the questions is whether or not to upgrade.
You hve to plug into the computer with the SP version as well...jsut not as often. I actually bought the wireless communicator for the V3 which removes the need to plug in to the computer to keep things up to date. I stopped using it bc I realized those 1-2 minutes I was plugged in were keeping me totally charged. When you don't do that, you end up having to charge for a couple of hours. I wear mine 24/7 minus showers so I prefer to upload rather than use the wireless option.
Look into the compatablity of the phone you have bc some phones just do not like to play nicely with the bugg.
I lost over 60lbs in 7 months. Best purchase I've ever made.
So what's the difference between this and using an app like MyFitnessPal?
Myfitnesspal is like wikipedia. Anyone can go in and list the nutritional data for a food item. It's crazy. Also, it's an app. It does not track how many calories you have truly burned. You tell it what activities you've done and it guesstimates for you. The bodybugg has accurately known what I would lose each week. It said I should have lsot 2lbs, I lost 2lbs. It said I should have lost 1.8lbs, I lost 1.8 lbs.
Don't get me started...bc I cna go on forever and do it Infomercial style. LOL
