Usually games drop faster in price than the their console counter parts. I'll grab this game when it hits the $20/25 mark. It's not like I have time for a game like this right now anyway. Repped for posting this deal though.

I'm with you. Once Dawnguard [kotaku.com] comes out, the price on Skyrim will drop. And if you wait a little bit longer, the inevitable Game of the Year / Gold / Platinum edition will come out. Or Steam will have a great sale on Skyrim and its DLC...

Agree with this. Thanks to the OP for posting this, but I have a huge back-log and still need to finish Oblivion (only started playing it in November when Skyrim came out).

This kind of sums up my philosophy on game buying these days...if you have just a little bit of patience, it's better to wait a few months and pick up these games when they hit $30 or preferably $20 for new. I also buy quite a few games used when Gamestop has B2G1 deals or Hastings has killer sales. There's really no reason to shell out $60 for the vast majority of games IMHO. Skyrim is one of the rare games which is definitely worth the full MSRP, but back-logs make it so I don't need to bother until the inevitable GOTY edition with Dawnguard and other DLC included...

I bought this when it was first release for Xbox, by far one of my favorite games. I got a new computer about a month ago and decided to try it out on PC as well... In my opinion, if you have a computer that can run it with no problems, go that route. The modding community for this game is AWESOME, all these mods have added so many more hours to my game play. I also didn't realize that you can transfer your saved game from xbox to pc, that alone sold me on it (I didn't want to start all over)

That's great to hear re: the PC modding community. I dabbled in Oblivion PC before starting it on the 360 and had a similar feeling that it was pretty awesome. The only reason I'm playing it on 360 instead is because I didn't have an HTPC hooked up to the plasma. It's also really cool you can transfer save games between the two. I don't think that's possible with Oblivion, so it's a nice addition.

I'm surprised it took this long to see this kind of price drop. Usually games without a multiplayer component drop quickly. Although, I suppose Skyrim isn't just any old game. This is probably around the effective price you could get it with pre-order deals.

Diablo 3 at midnite time here. No time for this for at least the next 4-6 months! Waiting for the 20 buck mark for sure! TU anyway!
