I have been around some of these Bighorn Safes and think they are one of the very best deals you can get get for your money. This seems to be a new model at Costco so it does not have any reviews. My friend called Rhino when he ordered a safe from them and they were very easy to deal with.

Things I like about this model are it's size. It says it will fit 36 guns, figure about half of that in the real world, but is almost 6 feet tall. That will give plenty of height for storing things above your guns, even if you have some long shotguns like I do. I like it's weight. At almost 800 pounds you would be hard pressed to find another gun safe anywhere close to its price. I also like the Costco and Rhino warranty.

Things I don't like. One it is not a made in USA safe but then again you can't find anything even close to the price made here. I don't like that the safe only has 45 minute fire rating. Many of the other Bighorn Safes are 70 minute rated. Delivery is free but you still have to get it in your house.

All in all I think I will give this one a go. I wish it was fire rated longer but my house is pretty new and I don't think there is acutally enough real wood to burn very hot and long anyway. Sure there are better safes but not for the money. Most break-ins are basically smash and grab. Not many of those people are going to know how to get a safe like this open, even if they had the time. I do have a nice Browning Safe I will still keep a couple of my more expensive guns in but for the average old shotguns, .22's and deer rifles have have inherited from my Dad and Grandfather, I think this will work just fine. If not Costco has a great warranty and I will take it back.

Standard shipping via common carrier is included in the quoted price. Curbside delivery, signature required. Carrier will call to set up a delivery time. Extraordinary delivery requirements may necessitate an additional fee to the carrier. The estimated delivery time will be approximately 4 - 6 weeks from the time of order.
Curbside Delivery provides delivery made to the curb at the end of your driveway.
