I think you can safely dispense with the question mark. Did your order already ship? For future reference, you shouldn't post pricing errors til your own order is already shipped, if not delivered ;-)

Interesting it's a Sears item.
My guess would be these are very old stock, something from the 80's or 90's, and they have been sitting in a warehouse or trailer for a long, long time. Pyramid is a well-known crap brand when it comes to car audio, so I doubt this thing really has anywhere near 0.05% THD. Who knows, though. Maybe it was a no-name item and someone licensed the Pyramid name for cheap to stick on it to sell. Keep in mind it's just an amp though, 2 main channels, with 2 optional surround channels. Not a stereo since it doesn't have a tuner or anything else. It might only have one pair of audio inputs as well. Not bad if you just want something to hook up to a pair of cheap speakers and want to use it for a TV as a cheap home theather. Quality wise, though, I don't know if it's worth the risk. Might catch on fire or go out after a few weeks/months of use, and I doubt there's any real warranty. Save the receipt in case you can send it back to Sears within their return period. |

I went to MyGofer site (Sears,Kmart,LandsEnd, etc) and typed in Pyramid Technologies and this receiver came up at $8.20 (added to MyGofer site May 02, 2012) shipping here is $10.65 for 1 receiver and $15.50 for 2. I suppose the more receivers you add the more shipping goes down? Thank you rigdtime for posting this. Total for one receiver shipped $19.49------(@ Sears.com I did add the shipvantage free 30 day trial and it did say $0.00 in my cart but the shipping charges still showed $16.16 through the final page of check-out so I went to MyGofer.com)

I need a cheap tuner for the garage. Doesn't the word ' receiver' indicate this is both an amp and tuner? I'm looking for a cheap 1 piece solution that will tune in fm stations and run 2 speakers.

5 input selectors so it will have multiple inputs. Odd to not have a tuner. I would say that this is realistically about a $50-60 item so it's still a good deal if it covers your needs. One thing some people might like this for if they don't mind the amount of space it takes up, use it to power a pair of bookshelf speakers for a great desktop computer speaker system. Buy a bluetooth adapter and hook it up to some outdoor speakers and use your smartphone to listen to your music outside. Etc. Good deal but I already have a similar 2 channel receiver with tuner & remote that works well enough.

No tuner. The manual doesn't show any controls for a tuner. Nothing to switch stations. Nothing to switch bands. This might be useful if you just want to hook up come components like an iPod dock, tape deck, VCR, CD/DVD player, etc and output the sound to some speakers. Since it has a mic input, you could also use this for presentations.

I'm in! This is prefect to hook up a crap laptop or phone to in my garage to stream some tunes while working on my toys. Cheap enough for me
