Deal dead now . . . at least, I got the "This coupon is not valid for the product(s) in your cart" message.

I just tried to enter SLICKDEALS into the coupon code box and it says "This coupon is not valid for the product(s) in your cart". I have the 3-year NEW subscription option in my cart. Is it dead? Help! I really want this magazine!

My wife loves the magazine. She thinks the crossword puzzle itself is worth the $4 yearly cost for 42 puzzles. The media review section is pretty good for movies and especially for the Broadway section. I wish I could find it for $2 again, but I haven't found it for that price in several years. She also gets a kick out of the ads since we don't live in the area. I think I started subscribing about 5-6 years ago when some of our friends kids started college there and ours started going on Spring Break High School trips to the city.

It's not going to have New Yorker level wriiting, but the general writing is very good. Check out their web site and you should be able to get a feel for the type articles they put out.

New York mag for that price is a great deal - remember it's 42 issues
