I normally get open item/display warranty from squaretrade. It's cheaper and more reliable.

I put down the highest tv price for the warranty tier, for example $399 tv price for $56 warranty. Squaretrade.com normally has 30% coupon, found in SD.

For NEW TV warranty, best price is costco squaretrade. They can be applied to any new tv bought anywhere in usa retail (NOT ebay).
For open box or used, it'll depends on where tv is bought. If amazon warehouse, then buy directly from amazon's squaretrade open item, otherwise buy direct from squaretrade.com.

I think you have to put down what you paid for it, since they validate that amount against the receipt that you send them.

I think it depends on the extent of the repair. I haven't dealt with Squaretrade on a repair quite yet, so i can't speak to that process. Maybe someone else could chime in? I'd be curious to find out as well.

Dammit I missed it by FIVE minutes even though i went to this store on tuesday.....sucks.

Anyone know if sony would warranty a display? I plead ignorance if this has been asked before. I found one that has a line on the side of the display. I really dont want to get a target warranty because all they would do is give me my money back on what i paid for it so its not worth the trouble.

I did a little research, it seems every time however much cost to fix your tv will be taken off the total that was on the warranty. for example, if you bought a warranty for a $399 TV and if it cost $100 to fix your TV this time you will have $299 left for the next fix etc.
