Gave the deal a thumbs up for what looks to be a good laptop. I am not a fan of HP laptop keyboards though.

At $965, I'd prefer a $985 Sager at Xoticpc w/ the GTX 570M. At $904, this is good enough to where I can't complain.

How can you tell if a computer has Ivy bridge or not? Where would it be listed? I was looking at past ivy bridge deals posted on slickdeals, and the only telltale marker was the person who posted it said so.

you would be able to view your computer's hardware specs through use of the control panel in Windows. Also, I serious doubt HP would screw up so bad as not to put an Ivy chip in a purchase of an Ivy laptop.
