I thought it was hardware problem. Hopefully it is not.
I've tried power button and home button but only for 10 seconds. So I quit. Right now I just let the battery draining down hopefully it will reset on next charge.

hold the power button and the home button down for approx 12-15 seconds at the same time... it should power down completely...

boot to webOS and see if the screen works... if it works ...boot to recovery and clear your cache and dalvik cache (sp?) (google how to do those things im sure there are videos even on it) ... then turn it on again and boot to android and see if your screen works...

if still no go.... power down as above and then boot the usb sign and use uninstaller (not uninstaller2) process to remove android cm7... and then maybe do a secure full erase of webOS and then install cm9

you can watch some of these videos to learn how to do all of the above....

you can use webos doctor. It will reset your touchpad just like when you took it out of the box.

Thanks for the info. I dont want CM9 now. I need webcam for my video chat. I will try your steps tonight.

cm9 is great... check out idiots guide 2 (and use the cm9 files but also helps to watch idiots guide 1 and the other videos)... fyi as below...the webcam doesnt work...but everything else is pretty good to go for the alpha build... takes about 15 minutes in all... cyanogen does nightly updates if you want more bugs worked out till the next release is out... twitter is where they announce them..

Ive also noticed mtp transfer settings have to be set to get to USB mode and its slower transferring files so Ive been using usb mode in webOS to move files to and from the touchpad...

You can get BNIB touchpads for around $200 in craigslist. Once you load Android 4.0.4 it is one of most powerful dual boot tablet in the market now. i don't care about camera now, not microphone. It is very solid and I also use a realtime navigation device for turn by turn directions (Navigon USA from play store).

Camera is very important for me. I do alot of skype video chat.
What do you mean by realtime navigation? I thought the touchpad does not have built in GPS.

Think that's probably your connection speed. Netflix scales down resolution based on your internet connection quality/speed. I watch Netflix on my TP-16 w/ CM9 all the time. It's perfect.

Why the negativity on this deal.
As a slick-dealer you should first ask yourself.
What other tablet can I get at this price that has the same or better features and you'll find yourself limited to the nook / kindle fire category, so this is a great deal. Hell, some places are still selling 10" picture frame viewers for over $100 bucks. So until someone post a slickdeal on a properly functioning time machine, forget about what the price was at the beginning of the fire-sale and enjoy the moment.
