(DEAD) USED T-Mobile Dell Venue Pro 8GB $129.99 @ Secondipity.com

Tax and shipping kill it. "Perfect" ones have gone recently for $100 shipped on ebay.

I just picked up an unlocked one for $150. I watched them for several weeks. I don't recall a single perfect one going for $100. This could be a great price. Just depends on how used it is. Overall its a nice device. The biggest selling feature (keyboard) turns out to be one of the least used on the phone. The WP touchscreen keyboard is just so nice that I find that I don't use the hardware keyboard much. One other note - be prepared for a big device. This thing dwarfs my Lumia 710. The screen is a little bigger but the device on whole is just massive. That could be a deal breaker for some.

I find it funny that Microsoft continues to flood the market with dirt cheap, but high quality phones, yet they're still in last place. It's because their OS is less functional than even iOS! When will they wake up and learn they have this all wrong? Everyone who wanted a Windows Phone has one and won't buy another one, that's why they're so dirt cheap. The bottom is a loser market.

I'm putting all my hope in the Intel phones. Microsoft is locking down WindowsRT, Qualcomm and Nvidia will have locked down SoC hardware. The dream of having a fully functional pocket computer is so close yet so far because big companies (I blame all of this on Apple frankly) are stopping progress because they think we're all drones who like Apple products and can't figure out anything for ourselves.

The $7 or so that they estimate you'll be charged for shipping is deducted at the checkout. No tax for me. Not sure which states they're charging sales tax in.

Ok, so in the last two months of ebay history, there is one that has gone for $101, and five or six in varying conditions that have gone for under $129.99. I'm not saying you can't score a deal on an auction, but lets not imply that the going retail estimate for a 8GB DVP in excellent condition is less than $129.99.

Don't forget the dell outlet site I got my dvp from there for 170$ and it comes with a warranty. It's an ok phone but there are much better windows phones out there. Oh and Technosquid I just got that focus from the last deal delivered a few hours ago. It came with the box and everything now I really wish I hadn't paid 120$ for a focus off CL :-/ If only the focus could do Tmobile 3g bands it's the best first gen device by far for the microsd alone.

I feel ya on that. If the Lumia 900, Titan, Titan II, or Focus S were on T-Mobile, I'd be pining for one of them. If you ask me, the Dell Venue Pro is still best Windows Phone on T-Mobile.

Btw, there are reports that the Dell Venue Pro works on 3G AT&T as well, if you're brave enough to change the band settings in the secret Engineering Mobile menu.

If these come with build 7004 on them you should be able to use the original chevron unlock tool (not the "labs" version) and have side load ability even after updating to 7720, right?

I did try the wired tethering hack, too, and it does work, but you have to switch off "cellular network" and reboot into composite mode. It's kind of an involved hack, and you have to set it up on each computer you plan on using it with, but its your only option.

I have this phone... tons of great reviews. I bought it brand new unlocked about 2 months ago for 220... I love it. Its a little big, I dont ever use the push up keyboard... Mango made it much better and its an alright OS and better than what I expected coming from Android. This phone will hold me over quite well until the Galaxy S3 arrives whenever that is. For 129 its a great deal.

I love my Venue Pro, and I bought due to the keyboard, which I never use because the on-screen keyboard rocks. Thinking about getting one for the wife.

What could possibly make a 2 year old, discontinued, and used phone so cheap? Troll elsewhere.
