You could get the dirty thirty, though that's gonna cost you more than a flash. Sigma 30mm f/1.4, with the crop it's almost 50mm, pretty close, but not as bad as 80mm. Plus it's fast.

Buy dig is a reputable online camera company and quit trusty.

If you need this camera with the said kit, then marginally this is a good deal but not a burning hot deal specially many pros who actually need this body, already have their needed dedicated lenses. Flash is also probably not need for all.

If you can sell the rest of kit that you don't need at right price, you may make a few bucks profit. Otherwise 5D III is one the best cameras you may find in todays market, at any price tag range.

I don't know a single person (in the real world) that's planning to switch systems. If you have an investment in Canon glass then this is a great camera and if you have an investment in Nikon glass then the d800 is a good camera (though one that's pretty hard to actually buy).

I do know of 5d2 users that aren't planning to upgrade to a 5d3 right now, but that's different.

I bought the 5d3 - it was a few hundred more than I was expecting but that's a fairly minor detail when you've got thousands in glass & other equipment. Irritating, yeah, but not enough to want to switch systems.

thanks. try a 28mm or 30mm, it should work better in tighter spaces like a delivery room.

i went to the delivery room thinking to take some great, artful pictures. but in reality, things happened very quickly, so i just took what i could. so many nurses and doctors around, its pretty chaotic.

in the delivery room, you can crank up the light as long as your wife doesnt mind. in the surgery room, its very bright. no flash is needed.
