Please kill the PS3/Wii subforum

If anyone has noticed, the Playstation 3/Nintendo Wii Availability subforum has predominantly lost it's purpose. It's become a breeding ground for trolls who have nothing better to do than make tons of repetitive threads bashing these consoles (especially the PS3). It does not seem like this place is heavily moderated either.

If anything I'd like:

1.) The subforum be moved to the Deal Talk section

2.) Better moderation. Every thread that isn't related to a deal should be deleted. Again, that is not the place for off-topic "discussions".

I personally think it should just be removed and be changed into Availability threads. This was the case when the Xbox 360 was launched. Since the PS3 is avaiilable at most places, all that is needed right now is a Nintendo Wii Availability Thread. That's it.

Keeping that forum there keeps the topics from consming the rest of the board.

It wouldn't consume anything if it were properly moderated. The majority of the threads in that forum should be deleted. Again I don't believe these people would be making these types of threads if there weren't a subforum. In other words, people wouldn't just post off-topic threads in the regular Hot Deals section. Maybe I should just modalert every thread that doesn't belong there, and those that have gotten out of hand.

It has evolved into a gaiming thread. And they have made those types of threads all over the board before that sub forum came into play. That is why there is a specified thread for the video games now.

Edit: And if you do not want that sub forum to be here then you can just not click the sub forum. Or you can ask a mod to ban you from the sub forum.

It has nothing to do with me posting there. It's more to do with the site as a whole. Having that subforum in the Hot Deals section brings down the quality of this site a bit, especially to newcomers. When I browse by the main forum page I don't want to see offtopic threads in the hot deals section being shown. I want to see a Hot Deals thread. I don't think my two suggestions above are that unreasonable. Either put it in the Deal Talk section, or just moderate it better.

Again since you agree that it's lost its purpose, change it to a Gaming Discussion thread and move it to the Deal Talk section.
