Depending on the condition. If its like new, you can probably get $450ish on Ebay, and drop down from there as the condition gets worse. Obviously you don't end up with $450 though due to seller fees. Also depends on the lenses.

Might be able to get more through Craigslist or a photo forum (I do all mine through Fred Miranda), but, it'll take a little more work.

Exactly the same. They just made a few cosmetic changes to the II to make it a bit cheaper to manufacture. Only small thing might be resale value, since some will assume the II is better. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I plan on keeping the 70-300 - it is an awesome lens! Similar to the 55-250, just sharper, better IS, more range and much, much better build quality. The 55-250 is awesome for the price though. It might be a little redundant to keep both though.
