Scan with a copier
I have a Canon D320 sitting in my garage and decided to try it out. I soon learned it doesn't support scanning to my computer just printing. I am wondering if there's a workaround for this. Is there a way to hack a copier to have scanning capabilities? Thanks. The slickest leech.

Though they are similar, copying and scanning are totally different. The software within the printer that details how to copy the image, store it to memory, then process the information and output it to some file format is different than just copying the image, storing it to memory, then outputting it to a print buffer. There would need to be a firmware hack to the printer that made it a printer/copier/scanner then there would need to be a driver that told the operating system how to perceive this device now as a scanner. My gut feeling is it's just easier to go buy a new scanner than to try to hack this model (if possible).
