Do not be fooled. Samsung drives are no longer Samsung drives people. Everything is made by seagate. The only thing that is Samsung is the name. This is very sad, but it is very true. Seagate blows!

i believe you are correct, when seagate first acquired samsung, they intended to leave them as is but obviously that has changed
